Key hits unlock another win

Battling through adversity at different times this season, both Chris Williams and Jordan Greene came up big in No. 14 Clemson’s 4-3 victory over Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Greene smashed a hard hit ball just off the glove of Pitt shortstop Charles LeBlanc with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, scoring Reed Rohlman from third base with the game-winning run.

With the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, Williams came through with a two-run single to right center that advanced Rohlman that scored Seth Beer and Chris Okey to tie the game at three.
