CLEMSON, SC — TCI takes a look back at Clemson’s Friday night win over #6 NC State at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

What happened?

The Wolfpack (31-13, 12-8 ACC) jumped out to a quick lead thanks to a three-run homer in the top of the first inning. However, the Tigers (30-15, 12-13 ACC) answered with six runs on five hits and two walks in the bottom of the second to take a 6-3 lead. Clemson would add to the lead in the fourth on a two-run single from Seth Beer to make it 8-3. NC State would hit a solo homer in the sixth to cut the lead to 8-4, but against the Tigers answered with two runs in the seventh on back-to-back sac fly’s from Chase Pinder and Weston Wilson.
