High-upside Charlotte WR interested in Clemson

Clemson has made a habit of recruiting talented wide receivers from North Carolina in recent years.

The Tigers signed Germone Hopper out of Charlotte in 2012 and Trevion Thompson from Durham in 2014 before inking Greensboro native Diondre Overton and Greenville native Cornell Powell in the 2016 class. All of the aforementioned were rated as four-stars and ranked as top-250 overall prospects by Rivals coming out of high school.

Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park receiver Elijah Bowick (6-1, 195) hasn’t yet gotten the acclaim that the aforementioned names did by the major recruiting services, but major programs have begun to take notice of his talent and potential.
