Clemson would relish the chance to play another SEC team in their bowl game, and this is their best chance to do so. The Tigers have had a lot of success in their past two bowl games - wins over LSU and Ohio State - and want to continue that streak against one of the SEC's best teams on the first Saturday of the New Year.
Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl (Big Ten/ACC vs. SEC)
Fri., Jan. 1, 1:00 p.m. ET
Orlando Citrus Bowl, Orlando, FL
The ACC doesn't have a definitive slot in this game, but this is the game the Tigers really want to be in. They would get to play that SEC team on New Year's Day - the premier college football day of the bowl season - which is exactly what they want. However, the Citrus Bowl is more apt to go after the loser of the Big Ten Championship Game with Clemson as the backup option.
Russell Athletic Bowl (ACC vs. Big 12)
Tues., Dec. 29, 5:30 p.m. ET
Orlando Citrus Bowl, Orlando, FL
The Tigers are due to go to one of the ACC's top bowls, and the Russell Athletic Bowl is the best they can do without playing in one of the "New Year's Six" games. They could play Oklahoma, and Clemson would jump at the chance to play the Sooners.
