Reds recap: Strong game from Sal Romano helps Cincinnati avoid sweep

The Cincinnati Reds avoided a series sweep, beating the Miami Marlins 6-3 on Sunday at Great American Ball Park. Here are the main storylines.

Sal Romano had a strong outing. Romano allowed only one run over six innings, striking out seven and walking one. He gave up only three hits, and only two balls that were actually hit hard. One was a lineout to second in the fourth, and the other was an A.J. Ellis home run that immediately followed.

Romano worked his way into a couple jams the first couple innings due to shaky command.
