Ex-Red Jason Marquis considers comeback

Jason Marquis hasn't pitched in the majors since he made nine starts for the Cincinnati Reds in 2015. But after pitching last summer in the National Baseball Congress World Series and for Team Israel in the upcoming World Baseball Classic, he's hoping a return to the big leagues might be possible, according to MLB.com's Jon Morosi.

More from Morosi:

"I've trained this offseason like I'm going to pitch for seven months," said Marquis. "I want to be ready for the long haul -- if it happens that way."

Marquis' short term involves a "long haul," too: The terminus of his journey is Seoul, South Korea, where he will pitch for Team Israel in the World Baseball Classic.
