Eugenio Suarez leads Reds’ four-homer effort in win over Brewers

For the beleaguered Cincinnati Reds fan, Tuesday’s 8-6 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Great American Ball Park offered plenty of pegs on which to hang optimism.

Adam Duvall crushed his 17th homer and is hitting .281 nearly halfway through the season. Joey Votto’s 21st home run was a two-run shot that gave the Reds the lead and put him on pace for a career-best 44, an unthinkable leap for a guy who hasn’t hit more than 29 in any season since 2010.

Heck, even stick-figured Billy Hamilton roped a leadoff homer into the right-field seats to start the game.
