Cincinnati Reds Get Shutout by Brewers, 5-0

It looks like the Cincinnati Reds might have plans to start up another nine-game losing streak to ensure they get next year’s first overall draft pick.

Offense: The Reds collected just five hits tonight, all singles, but weren’t able to bring in any runs. The Reds were only able to have a runner in scoring position four times, and only made it to third base once. Brandon Phillips had a good night at the plate tonight, getting two hits and stealing second base. Joey Votto continued to draw walks, doing so twice, hit a single and stole second base, but was thrown out trying to steal third base.
