The Cincinnati Reds (36-44) fly to Washington DC for a three game series against the NL East leading Nationals (46-36). Washington is looking for revenge after the Reds swept the Nationals at GABP back at the end of May. Cincinnati was in 4th place in the NL Central and has remained there since that 3-game sweep.
The Nationals left Cincinnati 55 days ago with just a half game lead in their division, which they briefly lost to the NY Mets. Washington regained first place on June 20th and has since built their division lead back to 4.5 games over New York.
