University of Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder is coming off the most productive two weeks of his career, and Houston coach Dana Holgorsen knows it.
"He kind of looks like (Colin) Kaepernick out there, honestly. ... He's 6-4, 215 and runs pretty good," Holgorsen said of the back-to-back American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. "I didn't think he ran that dang good."
Like the former 6-foot-4, 230-pound NFL quarterback, Ridder has gotten back to using both his arm and his legs to make plays.
Ridder has accounted for nine touchdowns in the last two games, with five of those coming on the ground.
