Mick Cronin to Ohio State? Don't bet on it.
University of Cincinnati men's basketball coach Cronin has been listed by many national media outlets among prime candidates for the vacant Ohio State job. Wednesday, sources told The Enquirer that OSU has not contacted UC regarding Cronin.
"There's been nothing," one source said.
Former OSU coach Thad Matta parted ways with the school Monday. Almost instantly, Cronin and Xavier's Chris Mack were among names tossed into the speculation mill as possible Matta replacements.
Cronin has been out of town and unavailable for comment all week.
