WATCH Nick Van Exel inducted into the James P. Kelly Athletic Hall of Fame at the University of Cincinnati Scott Springer, sspringer@enquirer.com
At their 2018 Legion of Excellence Gala at The Phoenix in Downtown Cincinnati Thursday, the University of Cincinnati inducted four former Bearcat student-athletes into the James P. Kelly Sr. Athletic Hall of Fame.
Among those were Nick Van Exel, who helped lead UC's teams coached by Bob Huggins to the Final Four in 1992 and Elite Eight in 1993. Van Exel went on to a long NBA career most notably with the Los Angeles Lakers.
