There was a time when local coverage of Cincinnati Bearcats athletics wasn’t as robust and.. let’s say.. uplifting as it is today. And that’s not saying it’s particularly positive now, at least if you read some of the holdovers from that era who still like to throw their two cents into the pot (see: Daugherty, Paul). Before the plethora of fan-run blogs like this one and the swelling of need for all things ‘Cats during the BCS Bowl years, there were two main sources for UC coverage; GoBearcats.com and the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Truthfully they’re still at the top of the list.
