When I was walking to work this morning, I saw a wholesale meat delivery truck park in front of a small neighborhood market. The piano coda at the end of “Layla” was playing on their radio. I was half expecting the driver to get out and open up the cooler to reveal the bodies of two wiseguys frozen stiff and hanging among sides of beef.
