The 24th ranked Cincinnati Bearcats beat the Nebraska Cornhuskers 65-61 to open the 2015 Barclays Center Classic in an ugly rockfest that might concern some UC fans.
This was a game that featured the 3rd and 27th best scoring defenses in the country along with two top 100 teams in terms of defensive rebounds. Neither the Bearcats nor the Cornhuskers give an inch on that side of the ball and it showed on the floor. These two traded punches for most of the game until UC was able to sustain a few consistent scoring possessions to pull away late in the second half.
