November is almost here, and with it, more Detroit Tigers prospects are entering the mix for international winter ball.
– Tigers Double-A infielder Dawel Lugo joined Steven Moya in the Dominican Winter League and was activated for his debut with Tigres del Licey, with whom he has since spent time at both second and third base. This is a curious move, since the Tigers have been transitioning Lugo to second base full time since he joined them as part of the J.D. Martinez trade to the Arizona Diamondbacks, but not one that should generate a great deal of concern.
