Earlier this year, the Chicago Fire announced that it had secured Cedric Cattenoy, an experienced and highly regarded coach within the youth system of international club giant Paris Saint-Germain, as the new technical director of the Chicago Fire Academy. Since making the move to the Windy City, Cattenoy has set about implementing his vision for the Academy's player and staff development, working in close partnership with the Chicago Fire first team staff to ensure continuity at all levels of the club.
Cattenoy recently chatted with Brian Sciaretta of American Soccer News for an in-depth discussion of his coaching experience, reasons for the move to Chicago and his short- and long-term plans for the Academy.
