Pirates 10, Cubs 9: What on Earth was THAT?

One thing is for sure.

Paul Skenes will NEVER forget the day he made his MLB debut. His team eventually beat the Cubs 10-9, but not until after a lot of stuff happened.

Skenes was as advertised, throwing 100+ miles per hour 17 times. But he also got touched up for a Cubs home run, and after he left with nobody out in the fourth, a bunch of runs got charged to him because Pirates relievers simply could not throw strikes.

The game was scoreless for the first two innings, Justin Steele basically matching Skenes.
