WASHINGTON D.C. – When your team allows seven stolen bases in the first four innings of a game, the finger immediately points toward the catcher. After the Cubs' 6-1 loss to the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night, Cubs catcher Miguel Montero said the blame shouldn’t be all on him.

“It really sucked because the stolen bases go to me,” Montero said after catching Jake Arrieta for four-plus innings. “And when you really look at it, the pitcher doesn’t give me any time. So, it’s just like, ‘Yeah, okay, Miggy can’t throw nobody out.' Yeah, but my pitchers don’t hold anybody on.
