Cubs 4, Mariners 1: Shōta Imanaga does it again

Shu014dta Imanaga, so far in his MLB career, has been the sort of starting pitcher that back in the day we used to call a “stopper.” What that meant was that this was the guy who could stop a team’s losing skid.

Which Imanaga did in five-plus solid innings. His control and command wasn’t quite what it was in his first two outings, but Imanaga has still not allowed an earned run in his Cuhs career and the Cubs evened up their series with the Mariners with a 4-1 win thanks also to three solo homers.
