2024 Cubs attendance watch: Looking at ticket pricing trends going forward

Another Cubs homestand begins Thursday, seven games against the same two teams the Cubs have faced on the road the last two series, first four against the Pirates, then three against the Braves.

For 19 dates so far the Cubs have announced 651,335 tickets sold, or 34,281 per date. That’s pretty good for this time of year, especially given the awful weather during the first homestand in April. That total ranks 11th in MLB, and the average ranks seventh, about 2,500 behind the sixth-ranking Cardinals.

By the time the upcoming homestand ends a week from tomorrow, 26 home dates will be in the books, almost one-third of the schedule, and we should have a pretty good idea of where attendance trends are going.
