NOTE: The Extended Spring Training (EXST) group is based at the Cubs Minor League Complex and Under Armour Performance Center at Riverview Park in Mesa, AZ, and it consists of pitchers and position players who are either #1) the replacement cadre for the full-season affiliates (Iowa, Tennessee, Myrtle Beach, and South Bend), #2) young and/or inexperienced pitchers and position players deemed not yet ready for a full-season league, and #3) pitchers and position players who are getting into playing shape and/or rehabbing from an injury.
