The Chicago Cubs entered last night’s game having suffered back-to-back one-run losses but were able to come away with 3-2 walk-off win over the Nationals courtesy of Addison Russell.
Las Vegas phenoms, Kris Bryant and Bryce Harper, each recorded solo home runs. Outfielder Dexter Fowler led off the game with a solo blast to right field in the very first inning off Nats’ pitcher Jordan Zimmermann to give Kyle Hendricks the early advantage.
Both starts had solid outings yesterday, allowing a combined two earned runs while Hendricks hurled six scoreless before giving up the game-tying home run to Harper in the seventh.
