Chicago Cubs – Cincinnati Reds game postponed on Saturday

On the day that the Cincinnati Reds organization honored the 1990 World Series team that featured former Chicago Cubs skipper Lou Piniella, the game scheduled between these two N.L. Central rivals was postponed due to rain according to the team’s official Twitter handle.

First pitch for today’s afternoon contest was originally scheduled for 12:10 pm central time, but was expected to start no later than 3:00 pm. That didn’t happen, so Jake Arrieta and Anthony DeSclafani will get extra rest after missing what could have been one heck of a game with these two on the mound.
