Jimmy Butler spoke to ESPN recently to share some thoughts about trading in the basketball for a football.
“I could probably take Demaryius Thomas’s spot (and) Antonio Brown’s spot,” he said. “I told them they’re lucky I’m playing in the Olympics or I would be getting a franchise tag with one of their organizations.”
Butler has spent this summer competing in the Olympics alongside the likes of Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, Carmelo Anthony and more. Butler said between he and his teammates, he is the best athlete to crossover from the NBA to the NFL.
