Things are just different when LeBron James is in the building.
He is the sun around which the modern NBA revolves, and he’s probably at least a couple of the planets as well. He’s the kind of player opposing teams put on the cover of their game program, the force of personality that can create a media firestorm simply by walking into an arena wearing a baseball jersey because he lost a bet.
But forget all of that nonsense. The reason James is the center of the NBA universe is because he’s that good of a basketball player, someone who could make virtually any team a contender simply by existing on their roster.
