Ryan Hartman visualizing path to NHL with Blackhawks

WOODRIDGE, Ill. – Ryan Hartman came to the realization bad plays have stuck with him for too long.

He’ll turn the puck over, skate back to the bench and continue to beat himself up over the turnover. When he’s called upon to return to the ice, his mind is still on the previous shift. And that’s where he’s really gotten himself in trouble. He’s already off his game and then will pick up a penalty.

Those penalties have added up throughout his career. In the last two seasons as a Chicago Blackhawks prospect with the Rockford IceHogs, he’s accumulated 249 penalty minutes in 130 AHL games.
