Blackhawks prospect Brandon Hagel scores 100th point of WHL season

Blackhawks prospect Brandon Hagel has reached the century mark in the WHL.

The left winger tallied two primary assists for the Red Deer Rebels against the Medicine Hat Tigers on Wednesday at the Canalta Centre in Medicine Hat, Alberta, to hit the 100-point mark this season.

Hagel, who signed with the Blackhawks in October after his draft rights expired with Buffalo, has a career-high XX goals and XX assists in 65 games in his fourth WHL season. The 6-foot-1, 173-pounder’s numbers are a jump from last season when he tallied 59 points (18 goals, 41 assists) in 56 games that saw him miss six weeks with a hand injury.
