Bears LB Pernell McPhee returns to practice

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears linebacker Pernell McPhee's lingering knee discomfort subsided enough for him to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, the team said.

McPhee’s knee has bothered him for much of the season, forcing the veteran pass-rusher to miss two games, including last week’s 24-21 loss to the Redskins.

McPhee is tied for the team lead in tackles for loss (18) and is third in sacks (five).

Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (calf), cornerback Tracy Porter (ankle) and defensive lineman Will Sutton (knee) also were limited.
