The 2020 NFL Draft is less than two weeks away and Chicago Bears Rumors are heating up because of it. The Bears still have needs to fill at offensive line, cornerback and safety and the draft will be a good opportunity to address some of those needs. The Bears released CB Prince Amukamara before NFL Free Agency and haven’t done much to replace him. Trevon Diggs out of Alabama would be a dream target as he brings great size and upside to the position. If Diggs is available when the Bears pick at #43, they should highly consider taking him. Ohio State CB Damon Arnette has a lower ceiling than Diggs, but probably a higher floor. Arnette could plug in right away as the Bears’ #2 CB opposite of Kyle Fuller.
The Bears could draft Noah Igbinoghene out of Auburn who converted from WR to CB just a few years ago. Igbinoghene is still learning how to play corner, but he has elite athleticism and big time upside. Virginia CB Bryce Hall would’ve been a Round 1 draft pick last year, but went back to school and missed a lot of time with an ankle injury. Hall led college football with 21 pass break ups in 2018 and has tremendous ball skills. Louisiana Tech CB Amik Robertson is undersized, but had great production in college. He could be an option for the Bears in the 3rd or 4th round if they trade down.
