Pep Guardiola insists he didn't see Cesc Fabregas after appearing to ignore former player following Chelsea defeat

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has insisted he did not purposefully ignore Cesc Fabregas following Saturday's heated clash with Chelsea.

Post-match footage showed Fabgreas attempt to greet his former manager as players and staff shook hands following the Blues' 3-1 victory at the Etihad.

However, Guardiola appeared to dodge the midfielder's offer of a handshake, sending views into a frenzy on social media.

Fans were quick to suggest the incident had something to do with Fabregas' involvement in Fernandinho's red card, the Brazilian having been dismissed after grabbing the Spaniard's throat and sending him over the advertising boards.
