I first watched Nathan Ake in a Chelsea Under 18 match against Charlton and even then you saw he could play as he was one of the standout performers.
The centre back has impressed since coming into the Bournemouth team and has scored two crucial goals, including the winner in Sunday’s 4-3 win over Liverpool. Although there are elements of his game he needs to improve upon, Ake could end up saving Chelsea a lot of money.
Chelsea are crying out for a left-sided centre back. Gary Cahill has done well there this season but the position does not come naturally to him.
