Aged 19 at the start of the game, Gotze was already an incredible player who consistently became one of the best attacking midfielders in the database. His real life career seemed to be following the same trajectory, especially when Bayern Munich signed him in the summer of 2013. He scored the winning goal in the World Cup final the following year, but has fallen out the limelight since then. After struggling to establish himself at Bayern he returned to Dortmund last summer, but has only played 16 matches due to a metabolic illness keeping him out for most of 2017.
