Chelsea beat Birmingham to go top of Women's Super League after goals from Fran Kirby and Ji So-Yun

Fran Kirby and Ji So-yun scored either side of half-time as champions Chelsea moved to the top of Women's Super League with a comfortable 2-0 victory at mid-table Birmingham.

League top-scorer Kirby gave the visitors a 19th-minute lead in Solihull, converting a rebound from close range to claim her 12th goal of the season after Crystal Dunn's initial effort was blocked.

South Korea midfielder Ji struck a delightful left-footed shot into the top right corner from the edge of the box to double the advantage 19 minutes from time.
