Alvaro Morata revealed he has spoken with ex-Chelsea striker Fernando Torres as he prepares to complete his own transfer to Stamford Bridge.
Morata arrived at Heathrow airport on Thursday morning after leaving Real Madrid's pre-season training base in Los Angeles as he gets set to seal his move to Chelsea.
The initial £58million fee, which could rise to £70.6million with add-ons, will break Chelsea's previous transfer record - the £50million they paid to Liverpool for Fernando Torres in 2011.
