The first meeting between the Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers would be an impressive gauge for the new Hornets.
After winning their last four games, Charlotte would run into a Cavalier roadblock. The Hornets, with their impressive play as of late seemed to draw out Current Carolina Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera, Quarterback Cam Newton and Linebacker Thomas Davis from their night off as they thoroughly defeated the Dallas Cowboys 33-14
After an up and down first quarter, Charlotte would seemingly control the early portion of the game and hold a narrow lead for much of the second and third quarter.
