The Charlotte Hornets (23-25) defeated the Los Angeles Lakers (9-41) in the second and final game between the two sides this season. The Hornets swept the two game season series over the Lakers.
This was the last match-up between Kobe Bryant and the Hornets on the season and in Bryant’s career as he will be retiring at the end of the year. The Charlotte franchise originally drafted Kobe back in 1996 and this was his last game against his original team that he never actually played for.
This game ends the Hornets’ western road trip that saw them go 2-2 in four games.
