Philadelphia, Pa. – Kalif Phillips recorded his 12th career 100-yard rushing game but the Charlotte 49ers (1-3) fell on the road at Temple (2-2), 48-20.
"We gave up too many big plays," Charlotte coach Brad Lambert said. "You have to give Temple credit they are one of the most physical teams that we play. They play hard. We just gave up too many big plays down the field."
Phillips finished the game with 114 yards on 16 carries. The 49ers rushing attack finished the game with their second highest output of the season with 231 yards.
