AUSTIN, Texas - Junior shortstop Haley Pace has once again added to her large list of awards following a sterling season with the Charlotte Softball team by being voted onto the 2017 Academic All-America® Division I softball team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced Thursday afternoon.
Although this is the fourth time a student-athlete from the Charlotte softball program has been given the honor, Pace marks the first to be named to the First Team and is the first to earn the distinction more than once following her recognition on the CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team in 2016.
