The 5th-ranked Charlotte 49ers head south on I-77 to take on the Winthrop Eagles on Tuesday, Sept. 27th at 7 p.m. as they look to secure a win in one of their last remaining non-conference games.
49ers' Last Time Out
A back-and-forth afair with an FIU Panthers game that was receiving votes in the national polls ended in a 2-1 overtime victory for the 49ers on Saturday. Neither team was able to capitalize on their chances for most of the game until junior forward Harrison Steadman pressured the FIU goalkeeper into a bad turnover which he controlled and then chipped into the net to put Charlotte ahead 1-0 in the 77th minute.
