Norfolk, Va. – Charlotte claimed the doubles point but the 49ers (9-10) lost to Conference USA foe Middle Tennessee (6-11), 6-1, in Norfolk, Virginia.
Charlotte won two of three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. At number one doubles, Charlotte's Sam Rice and Leonardo Menezes lost to Middle Tennessee's Gonzalo Morell Raschiatore and Tom Moonen, 6-1. At number two doubles, Charlotte's Alejandro Garcia Moreno and Oriol Puig Forne won their 12th doubles match with a 6-4 win over Middle Tennessee's Miguel Negre Fernandez and Gian Issa. At number three doubles, Charlotte's Constandinos Christoforou and Josh Aubrey defeated Middle Tennessee's Nicholas Buitrago Machado and Max Rauch, 6-2.
