CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte right fielder T.J. Nichting has been named Conference USA's "Hitter of the Week" for the second time this season, announced by league officials on Monday afternoon. Nichting led the 49ers offense to a 4-0 week that included limiting one of the nation's best offenses on Tuesday before winning their seventh-straight in a weekend sweep over Middle Tennessee, getting Charlotte to within one game of first place in C-USA.
Opening the week at #17 Wake Forest, Nichting put together a 3-for-5 evening with a stolen base and run scored in a 6-1 road victory.
