EARLYSVILLE, Va. – The Charlotte 49ers cross country teams got a sneak peek at their regional course on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Virginia-Panorama Farms Cross Country Invitational. The men ran to a third-place finish out of 16 teams, while the women came in ninth out of 15.
Host Virginia won the men's event and entered the race ranked 22nd nationally. The Cavaliers were the only Southeast Region team to finish higher than the 49ers on the men's side. On the women's side, Michigan State showed why it was ranked 11th heading into the race by taking the top spot, followed by Yale, the seventh-ranked team in the Northeast Region.
