WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Senior Victoria Merriweather, junior Victoria Ebert and sophomores Keon Howe and Stevan Veselinovic each broke a school record to get the 2016-17 indoor season started for the Charlotte Track & Field program at the JDL College Kickoff Classic on Saturday.
Ebert, who came into the day with the second-best throw for the indoor shot put in program history at 13.96 meters, got the ball rolling with a distance of 14.45 meters (47'5") to place first out of 39 throwers. The mark breaks Toby Jo Klauenberg's record of 14.24 meters which she set during the 2013 season.
