TEMPE, Ariz. – Five members of the Charlotte women's tennis roster from 2016-17 have been honored as ITA Scholar Athletes, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Tuesday. With five players earning the accolade, it marks over 71 percent of this past season's roster which was recognized.
The 2017 recipients include freshman Pierina Imparato, sophomore Tai Martin, senior Victoria Pahlett, junior Megan Smith and senior Macy Vonderschmidt. It marks the 13th-consecutive year in which the 49ers have been honored and the 15th time in the last 16 years, dating back to 2002, Charlotte has been included.
