Charlotte 49ers quarterback Kevin Olsen arraigned in second-degree rape case

Sunday evening former starting quarterback, Kevin Olsen, was arrested with multiple charges including three counts of second degree forcible rape, sexual assault, communicating threats and second-degree sex offense (forcible fondling). The alleged incident occurred at 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning between Olsen and his girlfriend in his apartment.

According to medical reports, the 23-year-old victim had vaginal injuries and bruising around an eye.

Olsen appeared in court around 10 a.m. Monday morning where a bond of $103,000 was set. Olsen is expected to be freed on bond later today and return to his parent’s residence.

He faces up to 10 years in prison for each rape charge, if convicted.
