BOCA RATON, Fla. - Junior third baseman was a force at the plate, going 3-for-4 including a two-RBI double in the 7th inning, but the Charlotte Softball team ultimately came up short in the rubber match with Florida Atlantic at the FAU Softball Complex on Sunday afternoon.
Entering the final frame trailing by three, the 49ers (19-15, 2-7 C-USA) mounted a two-out rally just as they did yesterday. Sophomore kept the game alive with a single to left field before junior drew a walk to put two on. Beatty then stepped up to the plate and made it a one-run game with a clutch doubled to the fence in left-center field.
