MOUNT PLEASANT Mich. — After a week off to rest, the Central Michigan men’s cross country team will make its way just over the Indiana border to participate in Friday’s Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational.

The Chippewa men’s and women’s teams will reverse roles this weekend as the men will get the chance to see how they stack up on the national scale, while the women are idle. The CMU women placed 26th last weekend at the 31st annual Minnesota Roy Griak Invitational.

The competition will feature a mix of teams primarily from the Midwest, along with a smattering of teams from the southern states such as Clemson, Murray State, UNC-Greensboro and Belmont, among others.
