SETTING THE SCENE
Central Michigan and Oakland will play the first of back-to-back nonconference games on Tuesday (3:05 p.m.) at Keilitz Field at Theunissen Stadium.
The teams are scheduled to meet on Wednesday in the annual Clash at Comerica at Comerica Park in Detroit. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
WHERE THEY STAND
The Chippewas are 14-23-1 and coming off a weekend in which they dropped two of three to rival Western Michigan. Oakland is 11-23 and last weekend dropped two of three to Wright State in a Horizon League series.
STARTERS
Freshman Logan Buczkowski, a Mount Pleasant native, is scheduled to start for the Chippewas on Tuesday.
