MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Tyler Conklin received honorable mention from the Friends of John Mackey, which each week selects the John Mackey Tight End of the Week.
Conklin caught a 25-yard pass from quarterback Cooper Rush for the game-winning touchdown in the third overtime on Saturday in CMU’s 34-28 victory at Northern Illinois.
Conklin finished the game with three catches for 38 yards. Conklin, a 6-foot-4, 240-pund junior from Chesterfield Township, has made 25 catches for 355 yards and three TDs this season.
